Hot August Nights August 7th - 12th, 2012
Location: Reno & Sparks (various event locations)
Come out and enjoy America's largest classic car celebration. Over 5 days of live music, car shows, drag races, classic car auctions and more! Come celebrate America's classic car tradition in northern Nevada. See thousands of classic cars take over the streets of Reno/Sparks. Relive the 50s, 60s and 70s as the hybrids go into hiding and muscle cars and cruisers once again roam the streets!

International Championship Air Races
Location: Stead Airport (10 mins North of Reno)
Why settle for drag races at a mere 200 mph? A WWII era Wildcat fighter can approach speeds of 500 miles per hour! Come see the fastest motorsport in the world at the Stead airport, just north of Reno. See classic aviation at it's finest, including heart throbbing demonstrations, awe inspiring machines and heart pounding races that are sure to leave you breathless. Join us for one of the premiere airshows in the West, the International Championship Air Races. |

Reno Rodeo June 14th - 23rd, 2012
Location: Reno Livestock Events Center at 1350 N. Wells Ave., Reno, Nevada, 89512
The "Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West," the Reno Rodeo is a 10-day event. The Reno Rodeo is a PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) sanctioned sporting event. Reno Rodeo is a non-profit organization made up over 400 volunteers. Over 140,000 fans will be in attendance for the 4th richest PRCA tour rodeo. The event impacts the Reno/Sparks area economy with $42 million going to hotels, casinos, restaurants and retail. The Reno Rodeo has been nationally televised on CBS Sports, Fox Sports Net, Versus, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Classic. |

Great Reno Balloon Races September 7th - 9th, 2012
Location: Rancho San Rafael Regional Park at 1595 N. Sierra St., Reno, Nevada
The Great Reno Balloon Race is the largest free hot air ballooning event in the Nation. During three days in early September, you can look up into the Reno skies and see a rainbow of hot air balloons soaring about. The Great Reno Balloon Race has taken flight with more than 100 balloons each year. Taking place just a few miles north of downtown Reno, the event enchants both young and old with its vibrant colors and inspiring music. With an average of 150,000 spectators attending the event each year, the number of lives touched by the beautiful spectacle continues to rise just like the balloons themselves. |

Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade & Annual Tree Lighting December 2nd - 3rd
Location: Sparks, Victorian Square
Sparks Hometowne Christmas, presented by Intuit, is an exciting annual event held in the Victorian Square Plaza in downtown Sparks! The community tree lighting ceremony will be held on Friday evening, December 2, from 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in front of the Saint Mary's Amphitheater on Victorian Avenue featuring a special performance by the Nevada Opera Youth Chorus. The fun continues on Saturday, December 3, with a colorful Christmas Parade, photos with Santa, cookie decorating and more. The parade will travel from east to west on Victorian Avenue beginning at 1:00 p.m. Santa will greet and visit with children in the Glendale Schoolhouse from noon to 2:00 P.M. and after the parade from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M.  Details |

Street Vibrations® FALL RALLY September 19 - 23, 2012
Location: Reno, Sparks, Virginia City, NV
Street Vibrations Motorcycle Festival is a celebration of music, metal and motorcycles. Street Vibrations offers tours, live entertainment, ride-in shows, stunt shows and more. This event is so big, it rocks at several locations throughout the region. Major event venues are planned at Harley-Davidson Dealership in Reno and in historic Virginia City. Rides to what Mark Twain called “the fairest picture the whole earth affords,” Lake Tahoe -- provide unparalleled entertainment. Flirt with Lady Luck during poker walks and runs. It’s HOG heaven! Don’t miss America’s Finest Custom Bike Builder’s Expo to view the latest creations. Check out the Tattoo Expo for body art extraordinaire. The event is open to all motorcycles. Italian Festival October 6th - 7th, 2012

Join the Eldorado in celebrating the 31st Annual Great Italian Festival Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7. After 31 years, the Eldorado still holds fast to the staple events that keep crowds coming back, including the Grape Stomp, Sauce Cookers Competition, an Italian Farmer’s Market and everyone’s favorite homemade Italian Buffet. A few new highlights are adding more Italian flavor to the mix in what promises to be a robust celebration of everything Italy. |

Reno Tahoe Open
